Verify Hosting Settings:
Open QuickBooks on all workstations.
Go to "File" > "Utilities" and check if the option "Host Multi-User Access" is selected. If not, select it.
If the computer is not the hosting server, ensure the option "Stop Hosting Multi-User Access" is selected.

Check Firewall Settings:
Ensure that the firewall settings are not blocking access to the company file.
Add QuickBooks to the list of exceptions in the firewall settings.

Use QuickBooks File Doctor:
Download and run the QuickBooks File Doctor tool. This tool can automatically detect and fix issues related to network and multi-user access.

Verify QuickBooks Services:
Press "Windows + R" to open the Run dialog.
Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
Locate the QuickBooksDB and QuickBooksDBXX (XX represents the version) services.
Ensure both services are started and set to Automatic.

Update QuickBooks:
Ensure QuickBooks on all computers is updated to the latest version.

Create a New Folder for Your Company File:
Create a new folder on the hosting computer.
Copy the company file to the new folder.
Set up multi-user mode by opening the file from the new location.

Greetings,
Peter
