On Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Champa in Chhattisgarh. He performed rituals at the main birthplace of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya and offered prayers at the Champeshwar Mahadev temple. Accompanied by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, and MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Shah received a traditional welcome. Dwarkeshwar Lal Ji Maharaj presented a statue of Vallabhacharya, while the Vallabhacharya Nidhi Trust gifted a picture of Srinath Ji. Champa, known as the Vrindavan of Chhattisgarh, is a significant site for followers of the Pushtimarg tradition. The visit was notable for those interested in political news and the cultural significance of Vallabhacharya's contributions to Krishna devotion. Various prominent figures, including members of the Gujarati community and local officials, were also present.
