Recently, during a meeting to discuss the elections, a heated exchange occurred between Rajya Sabha MP Kumari Selja and State President Udaybhan, right in front of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. Selja even met with Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi to clarify her position and raise complaints against Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda. The anti-Hooda faction claims that if the current situation persists, Congress might secure around 30 seats but fail to form a government.
Political news suggests that Sonia Gandhi may intervene to resolve the factionalism. With the state election scheduled for October 1 and notification expected on September 5, resolving these internal conflicts is crucial for Congress’s success.
