Valve Corporation is a giant when it comes to game development, with titles such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life, Dota 2, Portal, and Team Fortress all coming straight from Valve. And this time we hear that they are planning another production, what can we expect? Deadlock is expected to be the next game to see daylight thanks to Valve. Not much at the moment, but we have some concrete information that can direct us to what Deadlock will be. From the pictures published by a well-known user — @gabefollower on X (Twitter), we can pull out a few facts.
Building on the post, Deadlock will be a hero-based third-person shooter with characters and abilities. The gameplay will be based on a map with 4 lines, which can be accessed quickly with a transit line. Apart from an accurate photo of the description of one of the characters, named GREY TALON, we can see several others in the picture next to it, but due to the poor quality of the original images, we cannot figure out their names. By way of trend and deduction, we can also conclude that in the latest production from Valve, somewhat reminiscent of Valorant and Overwatch, we will also see options to customize our heroes or their weapons. Different paints or badges will probably appear in Deadlock.
Despite all the hype, information about the game is not publicly available and it is hard to find anything more. We can only wait for official announcements from Valve or open Beta Tests of the game. The developers are very strict about the security of the game's secrets and take good care to ensure that its content does not see the light of day. The release date or even the previously mentioned Beta is still unknown, so we are unable to provide any detailed information on this. For now, the game remains in a closed Alpha state. Nevertheless, the game is quite popular, and its mystery works in its favour. Deadlock's current results on SteamDB look better than not one production that has been on the market for some time.
A limitednumber of people have access to Deadlock, and the system for granting access is based on invitations. Initially, email was the only option, but now an invitation to play via Steam from a friend who already owns the game is enough. If none of your friends has yet been granted permission, you can look for such people in various online forums. We place a high value on the word of the developers, which is why we rely only on official information. We will therefore not share any content that has been made public after Valve's terms have been accepted.
