The RM UP-01 took a total of 6000 hours to develop, and as you might expect, it uses a mix of high-end materials to achieve its absurd dimensions. The soleplate and bridge of the RM UP-01 are made of high-end grade 5 titanium, which also contains 4% vanadium. The balance wheel of the RM UP-01 is also titanium.
It wasn't just the watch that broke the record; the in-house movement was also the thinnest ever, at just 1.18mm. It only weighs 2.82 grams.
