Court marriage takes place in front of the marriage officer in the court without any traditional ceremony. All court marriages are performed under the Special Marriage Act. Conditions of court marriage- None of the young men and women applying for marriage should have had any previous marriage. The age of the groom should not be less than 21 years and that of the bride should not be less than 18 years.
