These beads are derived from the seeds of a tall grass plant native to the Braj forests near Mathura, India, which is believed to be the land of Lord Krishna. The Vaijanti beads are unique in appearance, often resembling tear drops, and they possess a natural hole through their center, making them ideal for stringing.
