Solution 1: Run QuickBooks as an Administrator
Close QuickBooks:
Ensure that QuickBooks is closed on your computer.
Right-Click QuickBooks Icon:
Right-click on the QuickBooks Desktop icon on your desktop.
Run as Administrator:
Choose "Run as administrator" from the context menu.
If prompted for permission, click "Yes."
Update QuickBooks:
Once QuickBooks is open, go to the "Help" menu and select "Update QuickBooks."
Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest updates.

Solution 2: Disable User Account Control (UAC)
Open Control Panel:
Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
Type control and press Enter to open the Control Panel.
Change User Account Control Settings:
Go to "User Accounts" > "Change User Account Control settings."
Move the slider to the lowest position ("Never notify").
Click "OK" and restart your computer.
Update QuickBooks:
Run QuickBooks as an administrator (as described in Solution 1).
Update QuickBooks again.
